Roger Federer has revealed the business his children partake that earns them 70 dollars every day during his time at the tennis tournament Indian Wells.
Federer is probably having the best 14 months of his life as the Swiss has reached the quarters in California as he hopes to strengthen his lead at the top of the ATP rankings while stretching his unbeaten run in 2018.
Having seen the major rivals knocked out, the 36 year old may find it relatively easier to clinch another title early in the year.
Already, he has his family with him at the tournament who will be rooting for him to clinch another tile to add to his cabinet.
While he’s enjoying his time on the court, Roger Federer has revealed the money making scheme his children have deployed to earn a pay in California.
“We’ve rented a house for many years now, we like it this way here,” the legendary tennis player said.
Speaking to Tennis Channel, the Swiss said: “Here it’s jumping in the pool, selling lemonade on the side of the street. They made $70 yesterday. I’m not getting the money. That was classic, unfortunately I missed it because I was here all day but they had a great time and the neighbours are very generous to the kids.”
Having tasted victory in Australia and Rotterdam, Federer aims to widen the gap between him and Rafael Nadal in the rankings. However, Roger Federer will relinquish his position as the top dog to Nadal if he fails to reach the semis in the Indian Wells.
