Manchester United record signing Paul Pogba has come under heavy criticism in the last few months and even lost his place in the starting line up to youngster Scott McTominay.
He missed Saturday’s crunch clash against Liverpool due to an injury that he picked up in their final training session on Friday before the tie. England international Marcus Rashford hit top gear by scoring a brace in their 2-1 win over the Reds.
Due to his personality, it comes as no surprise for Pogba to pull off some type of antic especially during one of the most difficult spells of his United career. After sitting out Saturday’s match, Pogba was so elated with the win that he decided to interrupt Mourinho’s post-match interview and give the boss a warm handshake.
The friendly interaction between the two was an indication that indeed things are rosy contrary to speculation of a rift over United’s team tactics. In fact it was Mourinho who came out in Pogba’s defence when he his form dipped recently.

During the interview, Mourinho made a light moment on Pogba’s late injury. “He was injured in the last minute of the last training session before the game. If I finished the training session one minute before he would have been ok,” he explained to Metro.
United are preparing for their crucial UEFA Champions League return leg at home against Sevilla after a goalless draw in Spain in February.
