Madrid Ready to Sell Two Star Players

In the latest development happening in the Spanish capital, Real Madrid are ready to let go of two of their first team players.

If rumours are anything to go by, Karim Benzema and Isco won’t be with the Spanish club come next season. Spanish midfielder, Isco, has seen his playing time at the capital club reduced. Following a largely successful 2017 with the club, the 25 year old has found himself back at the substitute bench where he was used to before Gareth Bale suffered serious injuries and setbacks last season. The former Malaga player has only started 6 of 14 games Madrid have played this year. He is no more Zidane’s preferred man for the job as he used to be.

Recently, Isco has slowed Madrid’s games down, especially when they need to counter and beat the opposition with blazing pace. He is now a shadow of himself leading to him finding himself on the bench again. According to reports, the playmaker might be on his way to the English Premier League where he has a number of admirers including Manchester City, United, Arsenal, Liverpool, and Tottenham. The Spanish footballer would make a decision in the summer as he is not Madrid’s solution to the problems they have faced this term.

Against PSG, Madrid gained momentum when Isco was subbed off. With the introductions of Asensio and Lucas Vazquez, Madrid were able to win the game. Isco finds himself in similar waters, and it will be interesting to see which team he opts to play for.

On the other hand, Karim Benzema’s time at the Santiago Bernabeu has come to an end. He probably has overstayed his welcome at Madrid as Los Blancos fans have been calling for another striker to fill his boots for a long time now. Despite his perfect partnership with Ronaldo, Benzema might be leaving the Spanish champions when the summer window resumes. However, it is unknown where the Frenchman is headed. Nonetheless, his availability in the summer market will make this summer an interesting one for football lovers all over the world.
