Luis Enrique reportedly set to take over at Chelsea in the summer

The future of Luis Enrique may lie with Chelsea, but not at this moment in time, with the Asturian coach said to be insisting that he won’t take over at Stamford Bridge until the summer.Current coach Antonio Conte’s future at the reigning Premier League champions has been cast into doubt in the aftermath of successive losses 3-0 and 4-1 defeats to Bournemouth and Watford, respectively, in the league. As such, the former Barcelona boss, who led the Blaugrana to a historic treble in his first season in charge, has been widely tipped as the man to replace the Italian with the club’s hierarchy adamant that the 47-year-old’s methods will bring success to the club.However, the Evening Standard reports that Luis Enrique has told Chelsea’s bosses that he will not take over immediately as he believes a smoother transition of the backroom staff would take place at the start of the following season.
